Job summary

Cura Hospitality is seeking an experienced Full-Time Registered Dietitian to join our healthcare team in Whitfield, MS. You will identify and assess nutritional needs of patients/residents, initiate interventions to achieve and monitor nutritional status, and enhance quality of life aligned with patient goals.

As part of Elior North America, you will follow Academy standards, collaborate with the team, and contribute to continuous quality improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition (Prerequisite)
• Master's degree in Nutrition or related field required
• CDR national exam required or eligible for eligibility
• 75 hours CE every five years
• Licensed or certified per state requirements
• Knowledge of regulation standards for assessments and care planning
• Ability to teach others about nutrition and dietetics

Responsibilities

• Provide nutritional expertise to healthcare team and educate patients/residents, staff, or consultants
• Follow Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics standards and facility regulations
• Collaborate with departments to set up procedures and policies for dining and nutrition
• Participate in development, review, and revision of continuous quality improvement programs

Education

Bachelor’s degree in nutrition

Master's degree in Nutrition or related field

Licensed or certified per state requirements

Passed national examination by CDR or eligible

Completes 75 hours CE every five years

Knowledge of regulation standards for assessments and care planning

The Role at a glance:

We are looking to add an experienced Full-Time Registered Dietitianto our healthcare team in Whitfield, MS. As a Registered Dietitian with Cura Hospitality, you will have the opportunity to identify and assess the nutritional needs of assigned patients/residents, initiate interventions to achieve and/or maintain individuals nutritional status, and enhance quality of life consistent with patient’s/resident’s goals.

What you\'ll be doing:

• Providing nutritional expertise to the health care team and educating patients/residents, staff, or consultants.
• Following the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ standards of practice and facility regulatory requirements.
• Interacting with other departments in setting up procedures and policies, and in problem solving as it relates to dining service and nutrition.
• Actively participating in the development, review, and revision of continuous quality improvement programs.

What we\'re looking for:

Must-haves:

• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition (Prior to 2024) or related field
• Master's degree in Nutrition or related field.
• Passed a national examination administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or meets the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics requirements for eligibility.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education hours every five years, in accordance with the CDR, utilizing the professional portfolio development process.
• Licensed or certified, per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulation standards specific to comprehensive assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.
• Ability to teach others, specifically pertaining to nutrition and dietetics.

Nce-to-haves:.

• Experience working in healthcare or long-term care.

Compensation Range:

• $30.00 - $34.00 per hour, depending on experience.
