Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Para Professional Certification or Associate's degree required.
• Two years of college or completion of ESSA assessment.
• Ability to assist in reading, writing, and mathematics.
• Ability to work well with children and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional support under the direction of a teacher.
• Work with individual students or small groups.
• Assist in preparing instructional materials and classroom displays.
• Assist with administration and scoring of objective tests and assignments.
• Help maintain neat and orderly classroom; assist with inventory and equipment.
• Support substitute teachers with orientation and assistance.
• Supervise students throughout the school day (lunchroom, bus, playground).
• Participate in staff development and faculty events.
