Job summary

OrthoCarolina Spine Office is seeking a Radiology Technologist to provide diagnostic radiographs in a busy orthopedic setting. The role requires positioning patients, selecting exposure factors, and ensuring radiation safety per policy. You will document procedures and help manage department workflow, reporting to the Radiology Department.

Eligible candidates have ARRT credentials (or registry eligible) and at least one year of orthopedic radiography experience. CPR certification is recommended.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Radiologic Technologist program approved by ARRT and AMA.
• Minimum of one year experience as an x-ray tech with an orthopedic background.
• Registered Radiology Tech by ARRT or ARRT registry eligible.
• CPR certification recommended.

Responsibilities

• Provides diagnostic quality radiographs for physicians and PAs while protecting patients from unnecessary radiation.
• Positioning patients and selecting exposure factors per departmental policy.
• Communicates with patients to explain procedures and obtain history.
• Logs procedures, processes charges and related paperwork.
• Maintains cleanliness of examination rooms and stocks supplies.
