Job summary

Live Well Homecare in Austell, GA seeks a Full-Time Radiation Therapist for the Radiation Oncology Department. You will deliver ionizing radiation per physician orders with safety and precision, and perform simulation and treatment setup.

Documentation in EMR, patient education on side effects, participation in quality control, and on-call duties are part of the role. A two-year or more experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Radiation Therapy is required.
• ARRT certification and BLS are required.
• Minimum 2 years of radiation therapy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Apply ionizing radiation to patients per physician instructions, ensuring safety and precision.
• Participate in quality control and monitor treatment accuracy.
• Assess patients, perform procedures, and provide specialized care for age groups.
• Document thoroughly in EMR.
• Educate patients and families on treatment side effects and aids.
• Follow safety protocols to protect self and patients, including radiation badges and universal precautions.
• Set up patients for treatment, including simulation and scheduling, per physician orders.
• Assist with on-call duties and serve as a clinical instructor for students.
