Qualifications

• Associate's Degree from an accredited radiation therapy program.
• ARRT Radiation Therapy certification and BLS - Instructor.
• Minimum 2 years experience in Radiation Therapy.
• Demonstrates ability to treat/simulate patients.

Responsibilities

• Participates in Quality Control monitoring.
• Delivers consistent precise therapy to a designated treatment area.
• Assesses patients and performs procedures with age-appropriate care.
• Documents in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
• Willingness to perform additional tasks and assist others.
• Reports adverse reactions to the physician promptly and follows documentation procedures.
• Educates patient/family on side effects and treatment aids.
• Follows physician and physicist instructions for precise treatment.
• Upholds safety procedures to protect self and patient.
• Assesses mobility and applies fall precautions using EMR.
• Wears radiation safety badges at all times and follows universal precautions.
• Participates in daily warm-up procedures to ensure output within tolerances.
• Alerts manager to discrepancies or equipment needs.
• Simulates new patients and plans per physician orders in EMR.
• Schedules patients and communicates changes in advance.
