MVTA is seeking a dedicated Fixed Route Driver for full-time service in Eagan, MN. The driver must be 21+, hold MN CDL class B with passenger endorsement, and maintain a clean DMV record. The role emphasizes safety, customer service, and adherence to schedules across assigned routes.

Responsibilities include aiding passengers, handling fare procedures, performing inspections, and ensuring ADA compliance. Drug screening and background checks apply, with equal opportunity employment.

Competenze

• Must be 21 years or older.
• 3 years verifiable valid Driver's license.
• Must have a valid MN driver's license.
• Must have a valid MN CDL class B license with passenger endorsement.
• Must have a clean driving record – DMV printout for the last 10 years.
• Must have stable work history.

• Ensure customers feel welcome.
• Communicate effectively with passengers during service disruptions.
• Provide passengers with assistance as needed and information like schedules.
• Report any service disruptions to ensure timely updates.
• Ensure safe on-road operations while maintaining on-time performance.
• Familiarity with assigned routing and detours, ADA compliance awareness.
• Operate wheelchair lifts properly for each bus model.
• Report accidents or incidents to dispatch and follow procedures.
• Collect fares and notify dispatch of fare evasion or fraud.
• Perform pre/post trip inspections and log defects in ZONAR.
• Follow exact deadhead routing and revenue service routes.
• Depart routes exactly on-time and never ahead of schedule.
• Report bunching or other issues disrupting service.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Comply with Road Traffic Safety Management System requirements.
• Comply with road safety laws and regulations.
• Report safety risks to supervisor and promote road safety.
