Job summary

Studebaker Healthcare Center in Norwalk, CA is hiring a Full Time Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our in-house rehabilitation team. You will provide direct physical therapy interventions as planned and directed by the Physical Therapist and record treatments in the medical records.

You will work under supervision, communicate changes in resident condition, and coordinate with nursing and care staff to maintain high-quality resident care.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited 2-year PTA program.
• Current, valid PTA license in California.
• Ability to follow physical therapy plans and physician orders.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct physical therapy interventions under supervision of a Licensed Physical Therapist.
• Record treatments and note progress in medical records.
• Communicate changes in resident’s condition to the team.
• Assist with education and training for patient, caregivers, and staff.
• Coordinate with Restorative Nursing and other care staff.
• Assist with ensuring compliance with mandatory education and training.
