Job summary

The Springs of Red Oak in Hot Springs, AR is seeking a Full-Time Physical Therapy Assistant to join our in-house rehab team. The PTA will administer prescribed therapy, document progress, and collaborate with the supervising Physical Therapist to optimize resident outcomes.

Active Arkansas PTA license required; SNF/long-term care experience preferred; familiarity with Net Health is a plus. We value compassionate, patient-centered care and offer comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Active Arkansas PTA license in good standing.
• Experience in skilled nursing/long-term care preferred.
• Knowledge of Net Health EDS preferred.
• Ability to work with diverse patient populations.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed physical therapy treatments to relieve pain and improve function.
• Provide skilled PT services under supervision of a Physical Therapist.
• Document patient progress and motor function measurements.
• Record treatment plans and modify as directed by PT.
• Collaborate with IDT to adjust care plans.
• Attend required Rehab Department meetings.

Physical Therapy Assistant Responsibilities:

• Administering medically prescribed physical therapy treatments to relieve pain, improve or restore function, and promote healing.
• Provides skilled physical therapy services/interventions in accordance with physician orders under the supervision of a Physical Therapist
• Responds to requests for service by relaying information and referrals to Physical Therapist
• Implements and modifies the patient's physical therapy plan of treatment with PT supervision.
• Measures & records patient's motor function, strength, and muscle performance
• Monitor patient response to treatment intervention and modify treatment approach and directive as clinically appropriate with IDT collaboration.
• Provide clinical support and education to patients, family members, and caregivers.
• Ensure documentation is completed thoroughly and timely and complies with all company and state/federal regulatory requirements.
• Attend required meetings as designated by the Director of Rehab.

Physical Therapy Assistant Skills:

• SNF/Long term care experience preferred.
• Current knowledge of treatment practices
• Knowledge of Net Health Electronic Documentation System preferred.
• Ability to manage patients with different types of personalities.

Physical Therapy Assistant Requirements:

• Active/Valid Arkansas license as Physical Therapy Assistant
• In good standing with all regulatory agencies and licensing boards
