Job summary

Orchard View Post Acute is seeking a Full-Time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our compassionate rehabilitation team. The PTA will implement treatment plans created by the Physical Therapist and support residents in improving strength, balance, mobility, and independence.

You will educate residents and families on safe transfers and exercises, track progress, and communicate changes to the PT.

Qualifications

• Active PTA license in Idaho or ability to obtain one.
• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Geriatric or skilled nursing rehab experience is a plus, but new grads are welcome to apply!

Responsibilities

• Carry out treatment plans developed by the Physical Therapist.
• Help residents improve strength, balance, mobility, and independence.
• Teach residents and families safe transfers, exercises, and use of equipment.
• Track progress and inform the PT about changes in a resident's condition.
• Work closely with OT, speech, nursing, and families to help residents reach their goals.
• Keep clear, timely documentation in our electronic health record.
