Job summary

Orchard View Post Acute is hiring a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a full-time position. You will assist the Physical Therapist by carrying out treatment plans, helping residents improve strength, balance, mobility, and independence, and teaching safe transfers and exercises.

The role requires an Idaho PTA license or eligibility, CPR/BLS certification, and a supportive team environment. New grads are welcome, with mentorship and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must hold or be able to obtain an Idaho PTA license.
• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Geriatric care experience preferred; new grads welcome.
• Positive attitude and strong teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out treatment plans developed by the Physical Therapist.
• Help residents improve strength, balance, mobility, and independence.
• Teaching residents and families safe transfers, exercises, and use of equipment.
• Tracking progress and informing the PT of condition changes.
• Collaborating with OT, speech, nursing, and families to reach goals.
• Maintaining clear, timely documentation in the electronic health record.
