Job summary

Ultimate Therapy Services in Laurel, MD seeks a full-time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to support residents’ mobility, strength, and independence under a licensed PT. The PTA will work on individualized treatment plans and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to optimize functional outcomes.

Qualifications

• Active Maryland PTA license required.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to providing quality, resident-centered rehabilitation.
• Skilled nursing or post-acute experience preferred, but not required.
• New graduate PTAs are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy treatments under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist
• Guide residents through strengthening, gait training, balance, transfers, endurance, and mobility activities
• Carry out individualized treatment programs established by the supervising PT
• Monitor resident response to therapy and communicate progress to the clinical team
• Reinforce therapeutic exercises and safe mobility techniques
• Complete accurate and timely treatment documentation
• Collaborate with PT, OT, SLP, nursing, and other members of the interdisciplinary team
