Job summary

The Springs of Red Oak in Hot Springs, AR seeks a Full-Time Physical Therapy Assistant to join our in-house rehab team. The PTA will deliver medically prescribed therapy to residents, under supervision, and collaborate with the PT to optimize patient outcomes.

Qualified candidates hold an active Arkansas PTA license, with SNF/long-term care experience preferred and strong documentation skills. In-house rehab and competitive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Active AR license as PTA required
• In good standing with regulatory boards
• SNF/Long-term care experience preferred
• Ability to manage patients with varying personalities

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed PT treatments to relieve pain and restore function.
• Provide PT services under supervision of a PT.
• Relay information to PT upon service requests and referrals.
• Modify treatment plans with PT supervision when needed.
• Measure and record motor function, strength, and muscle performance.
• Monitor patient responses and adjust interventions with IDT.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers.
• Ensure timely documentation per company and regulatory requirements.
• Attend meetings as designated by Rehab Director.

We are looking for a PTA to join our in-house team of outstanding professionals that service our residents through person-centered care to achieve positive outcomes!

Physical Therapy Assistant Responsibilities:

• Administering medically prescribed physical therapy treatments to relieve pain, improve or restore function, and promote healing.
• Provides skilled physical therapy services/interventions in accordance with physician orders under the supervision of a Physical Therapist
• Responds to requests for service by relaying information and referrals to Physical Therapist
• Implements and modifies the patient's physical therapy plan of treatment with PT supervision.
• Measures & records patient's motor function, strength, and muscle performance
• Monitor patient response to treatment intervention and modify treatment approach and directive as clinically appropriate with IDT collaboration.
• Provide clinical support and education to patients, family members, and caregivers.
• Ensure documentation is completed thoroughly and timely and complies with all company and state/federal regulatory requirements.
• Attend required meetings as designated by the Director of Rehab.

Physical Therapy Assistant Skills:

• SNF/Long term care experience preferred.
• Current knowledge of treatment practices
• Knowledge of Net Health Electronic Documentation System preferred.
• Ability to manage patients with different types of personalities.

Physical Therapy Assistant Requirements:

• Active/Valid Arkansas license as Physical Therapy Assistant
• In good standing with all regulatory agencies and licensing boards
