Job summary

Partners For Child Care in La Puente, CA is hiring a Preschool Teacher for a full-time, on-site role. The teacher will plan and implement age-appropriate activities, assess child development, and maintain strong family partnerships under the Site Supervisor.

Ideal candidates hold an AA or higher with 24 ECE units, have 2+ years in licensed childcare, and possess a valid CA Teacher Permit, CPR/First Aid, and mandated reporter training.

Qualifications

• Associate degree (AA) or higher in any field.
• Completion of at least 24 semester units in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or Child Development, including core coursework in Child Growth and Development, Child, Family, and Community, Early Childhood Curriculum.
• Minimum of two years of teaching experience in a licensed childcare center or comparable program.
• Valid California Child Development Teacher Permit (CTC) is required.
• Current Pediatric CPR and Pediatric First Aid certification.
• Completion of Mandated Reporter Training.
• Ability to complete licensing and employment documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment.
• Maintain active supervision of children at all times, indoors and outdoors.
• Promote children's development across social, emotional, physical, and cognitive domains.
• Develop and implement weekly lesson plans aligned with the curriculum.
• Conduct DRDP assessments and document progress.
• Communicate regularly with families regarding children’s progress.
• Follow California Title 22 and Title 5 regulations and agency policies.
