Job summary

Bright Futures Learning Academy in California seeks a Preschool Co-Teacher to support the Lead Teacher in creating a safe, nurturing classroom for preschoolers. You will help implement age-appropriate activities, supervise children, and foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.

This full-time onsite role requires an associate or bachelor's in ECE, CPR/First Aid, and a valid teaching permit.

Qualifications

• AA or Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
• Child psychology knowledge preferred.
• 24 ECE core courses required.
• A recognized Early Childhood certificate or teacher permit.
• Experience with young children in teaching/childcare.
• Knowledge of child development and classroom management.
• First aid and CPR certification.
• Background check clearance.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and implementing daily classroom activities.
• Supervise children and ensure safety at all times.
• Support children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
• Help maintain classroom routines, cleanliness, and organization.
• Encourage positive behavior and model appropriate interactions.
• Communicate professionally with families and staff.
• Follow licensing, health, safety, and center policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
