Qualifications

• AA in Early Childhood Education with Gateways ECE Credential Level 4.
• BA or AA in any field with 24 ECE credit hours.
• Ability to plan and implement learning experiences that address social, emotional, physical, and cognitive needs.
• Ensure compliance with Illinois State Board of Education and Head Start Standards.
• Regularly attend trainings and maintain professional development.

Responsibilities

• Support a team approach to planning and implementing program activities.
• Collaborate with Family Support Workers, Teachers, and site staff for classroom and family betterment.
• Participate in ongoing CLASS implementation and monitoring.
• Guide and facilitate activities and maintain appropriate child guidance and ratios.
• Attend mandated trainings and set professional development goals.
• Share resources with staff and track development in Gateways.
• Use Teaching Strategies Gold for documentation of school readiness and ensure interrater reliability.
• Use Teaching Strategies Gold to communicate with families via newsletters and conferences.
