Job summary

Metropolitan Family Services is hiring a full-time Lead Teacher 0-3 at the Midway Children's Center in Chicago, IL. The position offers an attractive starting salary with a $3,000 sign-on bonus and pro-rated for 43-week programs.

You will collaborate with staff to support early childhood education, follow curricula, and ensure child safety and development. Qualified candidates hold a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and must pass all background screenings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education required.
• Satisfactorily pass all screenings and criminal background checks.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with Family Support Workers, Teachers, and site staff to support classroom and family needs.
• Guide and facilitate activities for children, maintain appropriate supervision and ratios.
• Use Teaching Strategies Gold to document school readiness and ensure reliability.
• Ensure curriculum fidelity, submit weekly lesson plans with individualized accommodations per IEPs/IFSPs.
• Provide active supervision for child safety during classroom, transitions, transportation, and playground.
