Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Central and Northern NH in Warner, NH is seeking a qualified Associate Teacher to support Preschool (3–5) in a center-based environment. This full-time role requires no formal credential, only relevant experience, and emphasizes health and safety in a nurturing learning space.

The role includes curriculum planning, documentation of child development, and collaboration with staff, families, and community partners.

Qualifications

• Must have associate teacher qualification (before Nov 6, 2017) or 9 related credits or 1000 hours supervised care experience.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Knowledge of teaching methods and curriculum development.
• Ability to plan quality programs and foster developmentally appropriate relationships.

Responsibilities

• Create an environment supporting Youth Development Outcomes and positive exploration.
• Guide and model curriculum to meet youth needs within emergent approaches.
• Maintain health, safety, and program goals across activities and staff.
• Record observations and document child development for planning.
• Supervise staff, practicum students, and volunteers, providing feedback.
• Communicate effectively with families and maintain regular reporting.
