United Surgical Partners International (USPI) is seeking an RN Pre-op in Sugar Land, TX to provide high-quality perioperative nursing care using the nursing process and the medical plan of care. The RN Pre-op will collaborate with surgeons and staff to ensure safe, patient-centered care across all ages.

Applicants should have an unrestricted TX RN license, 1+ year of Preop or ER experience, and current BLS; ACLS/PALS within 3 months.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse with an unrestricted Texas license.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• At least 1 year experience in Preop or ER preferred.
• Current BLS; ACLS/PALS within 3 months of hire.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and aseptic technique.
• Ability to communicate with staff, patients and physicians.
• A commitment to safety and patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care using the nursing process and plan of care.
• Support safe, effective, and family-centered care in the perioperative setting.
• Collaborate with physicians and staff in a fast-paced environment.
• Report to the Manager of Peri-operative Services.

Job Summary

The RN Pre-op is a Registered Nurse that provides quality patient care using the nursing process, the medical plan of care, and organizational policies. The RN Pre-op provides safe, effective, and quality patient-family centered care in the perioperative services for all patient populations. The RN Pre-op supports the mission, vision, and values of the organization. The RN Pre-op reports to the Manager of Peri-operative Services.

Experienced in supporting in the following specialties: Orthopedics, Spine, ENT, General, Pain, Podiatry,

Required Skills:

Qualifications:

• Must be a Registered Nurse with an unrestricted license in the state of Texas
• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• At least 1 year experience in Preop or ER preferred
• Must have current BLS. ACLS/PALS within 3 months of hire.
• Must possess a strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient
• Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation
• Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed
