Job summary

Castle of Downers Grove is seeking a Full-Time Porter to join our dealership team in Downers Grove, IL. This role offers hands-on experience with vehicle movement, inventory presentation and basic maintenance tasks.

You will drive cars, keep the lot clean, and support sales staff with a positive, customer-friendly attitude. Compensation is $15–$20 per hour with performance-based opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Professional attitude and strong customer service.
• Knowledge of automotive dealership operations encouraged.
• Willing to work assigned hours.

Responsibilities

• Clean interior and exterior of vehicles, replenish fluids, and replace batteries as needed.
• Place buyer guides and stock tags in vehicles.
• Keep lots neat and move cars as directed by the GM.
• Drive vehicles to and from requested areas.
• Create key tags and manage vehicle inventory.
• Retrieve and deliver vehicles from property locations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Full-Time Porter Responsibilities

• Maintain inventory appearance and performance by cleaning the interior and exterior of vehicles, replenishing all vehicle fluids as needed, and replacing batteries when necessary
• Place buyer guides and stock tags in vehicles
• Keep lots neat and orderly, moving cars as directed by the general manager and in accordance with dealership display standards
• Drive vehicles to and from requested areas as needed
• Make key tags for and handle the inventory of vehicles
• Retrieve and deliver vehicles from property locations
• Perform other duties as assigned

Full-Time Porter Qualifications

• Ability to work assigned hours
• Knowledge of automotive dealership operations is a plus
• Positive attitude, can-do mentality, confident, outgoing personality, eagerness to improve High school diploma or equivalent
• Professional attitude and the ability to deliver best-in-class customer service
• Reliable transportation to and from work every single day
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
