PNW Spine & Joint Physicians in Portland, OR, is seeking an outpatient PM&R physician to join a small, physician-owned practice focused on non-surgical spine and musculoskeletal care.
The role includes office-based and telehealth visits, interventional procedures under fluoroscopy/ultrasound, and a supportive team emphasizing quality patient care. Expect a Monday–Friday schedule with 30–40 hours per week and a collaborative environment.
PNW Spine & Joint Physicians is a small, independent, physician-owned Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation practice based in Portland, Oregon, with additional clinic locations in Wilsonville and Beaverton. We are seeking one additional PM&R physician to join our growing outpatient spine and musculoskeletal practice. Our practice is intentionally built around quality rather than volume: physicians have more time with patients, communication is emphasized, and our staff is highly responsive and attentive throughout the patient experience. We are physician-led, nimble, and able to make clinical and operational decisions quickly without layers of corporate administration. Our current clinical team includes two physicians, one nurse practitioner, and one physician assistant, and we are looking for a physician who values excellent patient care, autonomy, collaboration, relationship building, and a sustainable long-term practice environment.
This is a fully outpatient position focused on non-surgical spine, joint, and musculoskeletal care. Physicians evaluate new and established patients with spinal and musculoskeletal conditions, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide longitudinal care in collaboration with our clinical team and community providers.
The position includes office-based and telehealth visits as well as interventional spine and joint procedures performed under fluoroscopic and/or ultrasound guidance. Our Portland clinic includes an in-office procedure suite, allowing many procedures to be performed conveniently within the practice.
The practice has a significant focus on acute and subacute spine and musculoskeletal injuries, including patients injured in motor vehicle collisions, as well as orthobiologic and regenerative musculoskeletal procedures.
We are open to both full-time and reduced-schedule physicians, with an anticipated schedule of approximately 30–40 hours per week and a minimum commitment of approximately 30 hours per week. The schedule is Monday through Friday with no weekend clinic responsibilities and no hospital call. Physicians share limited responsibility for their established office patients outside of normal business hours; after-hours calls are uncommon.
We are open to physicians at all stages of their careers, including candidates completing fellowship in July 2027, and can accommodate a fall 2027 start date. The practice is particularly well suited to new graduates who value ongoing professional growth, mentorship, and a supportive transition into independent practice. Our two physicians each have more than a decade of clinical experience and are committed to providing thoughtful support, regular case discussion and teaching, procedural guidance, and mentorship as a new colleague develops confidence and autonomy within the practice.
Candidates must be Board Eligible or Board Certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation.
Candidates should be comfortable performing, or have appropriate training to perform, spine and joint procedures under fluoroscopic and/or ultrasound guidance. Musculoskeletal-focused EMG/NCS experience is strongly preferred.
Beyond clinical skills, we are looking for a collaborative, organized, and solution-oriented physician who values high-quality patient care, strong communication, and excellent service. An interest in relationship building, teamwork, and the business of independent practice is important. We value professionalism, collegiality, and ongoing growth.
