Carilion Clinic in Lexington, Virginia is hiring a Physical Therapist to confirm physician referrals, assess patients, and plan individualized therapy programs tailored to each patient’s age and diagnosis.

The role includes supervising PTAs, coordinating care with the health team, documenting in the medical record, and ensuring compassionate, high-quality patient care while supporting program development and ongoing professional learning.

Qualifications

• Graduate of approved school of Physical Therapy.
• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy with 5 years of experience, or Master's/Doctorate degree.
• Licensed to practice in Virginia by the Virginia Board of Physical Therapy.
• AHA BLS-certified within six months of employment.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, customer service and teamwork skills.

Responsabilités

• Provides patient care based on physician referral and age-appropriate assessment to achieve goals.
• Coordinates patient care and clinical activities with the health care team.
• Documents in the patient’s medical record and completes required forms.
• Supervises PTAs and collaborates with therapy staff and students.
• Participates in performance improvement, program development/evaluation and staff meetings.
