Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a full-time Phlebotomist for assignments at Oak Lawn, Momence, and Kankakee locations. Shifts run 8am–4:30pm on a rotating basis, Monday through Saturday with occasional Fridays/Saturdays as scheduled. Responsibilities include venipuncture, specimen handling, and EMR documentation.

The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional patient service, adhere to ethical standards, and work as part of a high-performing team in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification required.
• Preferred: phlebotomy experience in healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Performs phlebotomy and lab specimen collections per age-related standards and policies.
• Enters orders and verifies test results in multiple systems.
• Communicates with patients and provides appropriate post-phlebotomy care.
• Maintains specimen integrity through labeling, processing and transport.
