Job summary

Northwestern Medicine in Chicago’s Streeterville neighborhood is seeking a full-time Phlebotomist to provide accurate venipuncture, specimen handling, and timely lab processing. This 40-hour-per-week role requires Monday–Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. shifts with potential weekend rotation.

You will work closely with a collaborative healthcare team, maintain patient-centered service, and utilize multiple lab and EMR systems while upholding quality and compliance standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Phlebotomy certification or CMA/healthcare experience required.
• Experience with EMR systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs phlebotomy and other lab specimen collections.
• Demonstrates AIDET model and patient safety.
• Receives and reviews physician orders; enters orders in lab systems.
