Job summary

Indian Health Service (IHS) contract position at Phoenix Indian Medical Center seeks a registered pharmacist to ensure safe pharmacotherapy and patient education within the total healthcare plan.

Qualifications

• Education: Degree recognized by ACPE or equivalent.
• Licensure: Licensed pharmacist in a U.S. state, DC, PR, or territory.
• Current Immunizations including two TB tests.
• Real ID or Passport.
• Background and financial checks must be passable.

Responsibilities

• Ensure appropriate pharmacotherapy for each patient.
• Educate patient/family/caregiver to increase understanding of the treatment plan.
• Monitor patient status and modify treatment strategies as needed.
• Process prescriptions, prepare and label medications, and counsel patients.
