Job summary

The Blake at Charlottesville is seeking a personable Personal Assistant to support residents in a caring, home-like environment. You will provide companionship, listening, and help with daily activities to enhance wellbeing and independence.

Responsibilities include assisting with bathing, dressing, feeding, and light housekeeping, while reporting health changes and helping residents stay engaged in activities. Weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• Must have a caring heart and willingness to serve others.
• High School Diploma/GED equivalent.
• Current CNA certification preferred but not required unless state requirement.
• CPR/First Aid, preferred.
• Must be flexible to work weekends and holidays.
• Experience working with older adults preferred.

We are currently looking for a Personal Assistant for The Blake at Charlottesville.

Primary Responsibilities of the Personal Assistant:

• Supports our assisted living and memory care residents by providing companionship, supportive listening and activities of daily living, i.e. bathing, dressing, feeding, etc.
• Reporting changes in the health and status of the resident and completing daily data sheets to record progress.
• Assists residents with memory and performance improvement programs.
• Light housekeeping and laundry.
• Assists with dining as needed or directed by leadership team.
• Assists with activities to keep residents engaged and happy.

Requirements
