Job summary

Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage is hiring for multiple openings of Patient Sitter - Telesitters in the Patient Services Department at Providence Regional Building.

Available schedules include Full Time, 0.9 FTE, Day shift, 36 hours per week and Full Time, 0.9 FTE, Night shift, 36 hours per week. Provides continuous observation and surveillance with verbal redirection and RN escalation as needed.

Qualifications

• Completion of Medical Terminology course or hospital terminology test within 90 days of hire.
• 6 months experience providing direct patient care in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuous observation and surveillance for assigned patients.
• Verbally redirect the patient from at-risk behavior and escalate to the RN as needed.
