Job summary

Regions Hospital in St. Paul, MN is seeking an exceptional, patient-focused Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team.

The ED spans 50,000 sq ft with 55 treatment rooms, a resident area, and multiple care pods; it sees over 90,000 ED visits yearly. As a nursing professional you will apply evidence-based practice under Shared Governance, delivering compassionate, family-centered care at the bedside.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Minnesota.
• 1 year of recent ED/ER, Critical Care, or ICU RN experience.
• Accredited nursing degree completed (ASN/BSN/MSN).
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS; NIHSS by hire; TNCC/PALS or ENPC by hire.

Responsibilities

• Serve in the Charge RN role in the ED.
• Provide patient-centered care in a fast-paced ED setting.
• Collaborate with team to coordinate triage, treatment and discharge.

OurEmergency Department (ED) is comprised of 50,000 square feet of clinical space with 55 treatment rooms. An additional 8,000 square feet houses theresident room, library, conference space and administrative offices. It alsoincludes private rooms, in-department radiology suite, discharge pharmacy, waiting room and triage area, employee lounge and locker room, and five care areas (pods), including an 11-bed care pod for our crisis/behavioral health patients. It is designed to treatpatients in acuity-based care pods.You will find yourself in a fast-paced environment with over 90,000 ED visits per year. Join our team and make good happen!

Work schedule:

7p-730a pattern rotation every third weekend

Required Qualifications:

• Licensed as a registered nurse by the State of Minnesota.
• One year of recent ED / ER, Critical Care, or ICU RN experience is required.
• Completion of an accredited associate’s, bachelor’s, or master’s degree program in Nursing.
• Certifications:
  • BLS for healthcare providers and ACLSare required through AHA.
  • NIHSS is required by time of hire.
  • TNCC and either PALS or ENPC - ability to obtain by time of hire.
