Job summary

Holy Family Parish & School in Stow, OH is seeking a Full-Time Custodian to clean, maintain, and care for the parish buildings and grounds under the Director of Facilities. Responsibilities include cleaning, minor repairs, event setup/teardown, snow removal, and grounds upkeep to support a welcoming environment.

The role requires light to moderate physical activity, background check, and Virtus participation. Flexible weekend availability is preferred to cover on-call needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One to three years of custodial, janitorial, maintenance, or facilities experience preferred.
• Flexible availability for on-call weekends.
• Must pass background check and participate in Diocesan Virtus program

Responsibilities

• Perform custodial duties throughout the church, school, and parish facilities.
• Assist with general maintenance and repair projects.
• Assist with room setup and teardown for parish events, meetings, and special functions.
• Remove snow and ice from sidewalks and entrances as needed.
• Move furniture, equipment, tables, and chairs for parish activities.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and facility needs.
• Complete light maintenance and repairs involving HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and painting as needed.
• Maintain the appearance of parish grounds through landscaping assistance and seasonal maintenance.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Pastor or Director of Facilities.
