Job summary

Millwood Inc. is hiring for a Pallet Assembly/General Labor role at the Apple Creek, OH location. This position supports production by performing hands-on tasks and operating light machinery to help maintain efficiency and quality.

Emphasis on safety and organized work areas ensures smooth workflow and customer satisfaction. The role reports to Plant Manager and floor supervisors and requires the ability to pass safety and job-related screenings.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret imperial system.
• Successful completion of pneumatic nailer training.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Related experience is preferred.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Observe safety guidelines and protocols.
• Inspect and repair pallets for defects including broken boards and blocks, nail defects, debris, and contamination; correct defects that do not meet specification criteria.
• Lift and carry materials as needed.
• Ensure materials and products are properly stored to conserve space and comply with safety procedures.
• Assist in waste disposal and recycling activities.
• Sort and stack pallets and materials by size and grade utilizing APC methods.
• Complete and turn in all required documentation in a timely manner.
• Assures compliance with appropriate safety practices and procedures with applicable federal, State and local codes, OSHA regulations and requirements.
• Clean and maintain all responsible work areas in an organized manner.
• All other duties as assigned by management.
