Job summary

Moon Valley Nurseries is seeking an Entry Level Planting Crew member in Houston, TX to install trees and plants for customers. You will follow landscape plans, ensure proper spacing, and keep work areas clean while providing excellent service.

The role requires physical ability to perform manual labor, operate basic tools, and work with the team to meet project deadlines. This position is full-time and on-site, offering competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform manual labor.
• Previous experience in landscaping, horticulture, or a related field is preferred but not required.
• Previous experience with operating power tools, hand tools, and other equipment preferred.
• Ability to follow specific instructions and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Plant trees, shrubs, and other plants according to landscape plans and specifications.
• Ensure proper fertilization and planting techniques are followed to promote healthy growth and longevity of plants.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas and equipment.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate tasks and complete projects on time.
• Assist with loading and unloading plants, tools, equipment and any other equipment needed for the day's tasks, ensuring accurate counts and proper weight distribution.
• Ensure the proper use of PPE including safety glasses, gloves, and any other necessary protective gear to maintain personal safety.
• Understand and recognize the significance of Blue Stake/811 colors at job sites to prevent damage to underground utilities and adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues
• Demonstrated availability to work any day of the week.
• Other duties and tasks as assigned.
