Job summary

Sharon Hospital in Connecticut seeks a board-certified full-time Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join the Orthopedic Surgery Service. The role is primarily outpatient with occasional inpatient coverage to support Orthopedics, General Surgery and Urology.

The ideal candidate will be a graduate of an accredited PA program and NCCPA certified, with a track record in surgical patient management. New graduates and NP entrants with relevant surgical exposure are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program and NCCPA certified.
• Candidates with at least 1–3 years of surgical experience and/or surgical residency trained candidates preferred; new graduates and new nurse practitioners with RNF certification and surgical experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Primarily outpatient role with some inpatient coverage to support Orthopedics, General Surgery and Urology.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to manage patient care across services.

Full -time Orthopedic Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner

The Orthopedic Surgery Service at Sharon Hospital, proudly joining Northwell, is seeking to add a board-certified full-time Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join its team. The position will be primarily outpatient with some inpatient coverage to support Ortho (primary), General Surgery and Urology.

Qualifications

• The qualified candidate will be a graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program and be NCCPA certified as well as possess strong surgical and patient management experience.
• Candidates with at least one to three years of surgical experience and/or surgical residency trained candidates preferred, but new graduates will be considered as will new nurse practitioners with RNF certification and surgical experience.

Salary Range: $105,000- $150,000. yearly
