Job summary

Beacon Oral Specialists is seeking a Surgical Assistant II in Poulsbo, WA. This full-time position supports the oral surgeon before, during, and after procedures. The ideal candidate is organized, patient-focused, and has a strong understanding of oral surgery.

Responsibilities include instrument handling, room setup, patient monitoring, and post-anesthesia care, with daily admin tasks and patient consultations. On-site work required, with regular Monday–Friday shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of an accredited Surgical Assistant program is required.
• Certification as a Surgical Assistant is required.
• Current CPR/BLS certification required.
• Dental X-ray license (Pano, PA, CBCT) required.

Responsibilities

• Proper instrument cleaning in accordance with infection control and biohazard protocols.
• Autoclave operation and function.
• Surgical tray set-up and instrument identification.
• Room setup/breakdown for IV anesthesia and surgery.
• Seat patient and perform pre-op setup; review charts.
