LeafSpring Schools is seeking an enthusiastic Afterschool Teacher to join our vibrant early learning community. You’ll lead a safe, engaging environment for school-age children after school hours, planning hands-on activities, supervising games, and supporting daily routines to foster creativity and social development.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children in afterschool programs, summer camps, child care, recreation, or youth development (preferred)
• Understanding of child development principles and developmentally appropriate practices (DAP)
• Friendly, patient, and enthusiastic about working with young children
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
• Ability to multitask, follow program structure, and adapt to children’s needs
• Coursework or credentials in education, child development, or related field (preferred but not required)

• Assist with planning and leading engaging, age-appropriate activities based on children’s interests and developmental needs

• Foster independence, teamwork, and positive peer interactions using positive guidance strategies
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a welcoming, enriching afterschool environment

Your Role as an Afterschool Teacher

As an Afterschool Teacher, you’ll help lead a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment for school-age children during out-of-school hours.
