Job summary

Milton Hershey School (MHS) is seeking Full-time Flex Houseparents to reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of 8–13 students. The two-person couple will work as a team in a structured, family-like living environment that supports academic, emotional, and social growth.

The role requires a married two-person team, both aged 27+, with a high school diploma or GED, willingness to lead devotions, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for couples married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the home.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student vans.
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship to students.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and ensure student wellness.
• Drive students to activities and engage in developmental/recreational activities.
• Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
