Job summary

Milton Hershey School is seeking full-time Flex Houseparents who will reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, and supervision for a group of 8–13 students. The couple-based roles require both spouses to be married at least two years and age 27 or older.

The position includes leading devotions, planning activities, managing routines, and ensuring student wellness, with housing and meals included as part of total compensation.

Qualifications

• Two-person role for couples married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship to students.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and monitor student wellness.
• Drive students to activities and engage in development and recreation.
• Lead daily devotions and accompany students to chapel services.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
• Support multiple homes on a nine-days-on, three-days-off schedule, then placed with a single home.
