Job summary

Milton Hershey School is seeking full-time Flex Houseparents to live on campus and care for a group of 8–13 students. The two-person couple role requires a legally married partnership for at least two years, with both spouses aged 27 or older.

Responsibilities include supervision, discipline, and supporting students’ academic, emotional, and social development. Position begins with nine days on duty followed by three days off, with future placement into a single home.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person couple role, legally married for at least two years.
• Both spouses age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty.
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship for students.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and ensure student wellness.
• Drive students to activities and participate in developmental and recreational activities.
• Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
