Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, seeks full-time Flex Houseparents — a two-person role where married couples provide care and guidance for a group of 8–13 students in on-campus homes. Responsibilities include supervision, routines, driving, and daily devotions.

Compensation includes free housing and meals on duty, comprehensive benefits, and relocation/training support. Both spouses must be 27+, have a high school diploma or GED, and hold a valid U.S. drivers license.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for couples married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• Fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed.
• Valid U.S. drivers license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
• Comfort leading daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited).
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
• Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; staff serve as role models.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and planning developmental/recreational activities.
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
