Job summary

BrightStar Care of Midtown Raleigh seeks experienced CNAs and PCAs for full-time on-call caregiver roles serving clients in Durham. The position emphasizes flexibility, reliability, and compassionate, one-on-one home care to help clients stay safe and independent in their homes.

Caregivers are expected to assist with personal care, companionship, mobility, and daily living activities, with transfers using Hoyer lifts. Background checks apply; training and ongoing support are provided.

Qualifications

• Active North Carolina CNA License or verifiable PCA work experience
• Hoyer Lift experience preferred
• Current CPR Certification
• Current TB Test
• Completion of all state-mandated training requirements
• Valid North Carolina Driver's License
• Current automobile insurance
• Reliable transportation
• Willingness to transport clients as needed
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Professional, compassionate, and dependable attitude
• Ability to work independently and adapt quickly to different client situations

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and companion care.
• Mobility assistance and daily living activities.
• Safe transfer and repositioning with Hoyer lifts and equipment.
• Observe and report changes in client condition to nursing staff.
• Accurate documentation of care and time/attendance.
• Follow care plans and agency policies.
• Communicate with clients, families, and office staff.
• Remain professional and calm during emergencies.
• Maintain reliability and punctuality with scheduling.
