Job summary

Stoneham Fuel is seeking a skilled Oil Burner & Heating Service Technician in Massachusetts to service and maintain boiler systems, burners, and related piping. You will perform safety inspections, calibrate controls, and assist with installations while ensuring customer satisfaction.

The role requires a valid MA Oil Burner Technician Certificate, a clean driving record, and the ability to pass a background check.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Service and maintain boiler systems, burners, and piping equipment.
• Perform cleanings, safety inspections, and routine maintenance.
• Diagnose system issues and complete necessary repairs.
• Adjust and calibrate controls for safe and efficient operation.
• Assist with oil burner installations and system startups as needed.
• Maintain accurate service and repair records.
• Communicate professionally with customers.
• Educate customers about system care and energy efficiency.
• Participate in an on-call rotation and work overtime during peak heating seasons.

Requirements

• Massachusetts Oil Burner Technician Certificate
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to pass a background check
• Relevant oil burner and heating service experience

Responsibilities

• Service and maintain boiler systems, burners, and piping equipment
• Perform cleanings, safety inspections, and routine maintenance

Schedule

• Full-time, 40 hours per week
• On-call rotation during busy season
