Job summary

Marksman Security is hiring for a Full Time Security Officer on the 3rd shift, Monday through Thursday 9:00pm to 5:00am, with Friday through Sunday off. The position offers $19.00 per hour and a potential quarterly attendance bonus for showing up reliably.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
• High school degree or equivalent.
• Professional demeanor and appearance.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must be able to obtain a valid State security license.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must be able to multitask and prioritize assigned tasks.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
• Minimum of one year of customer service experience OR one year of security experience.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment screening (background and drug).
• This position will require occasional crawling, crouching, climbing of stairs, kneeling, running, sitting, standing, stooping and walking for extended periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Acknowledge and greet all residents and guests in a prompt and courteous manner.
• Manage all guest/visitor access as needed and eject trespassers when necessary.
• Verify credentials of incoming and outgoing individuals/vehicles.
• Document and maintain a log of visitors and notify residents of arrival.
• Assist in protecting others and equipment while enforcing policies and procedures.
• Monitor and detect suspicious behavior to prevent vandalism, theft or crime.
• Monitor surveillance cameras and alarms.
• Patrol the perimeter (interior/exterior) to identify safety risks.
• Warn violators of infractions such as loitering or possession of prohibited items.
• Respond to distress calls, alarms or emergencies and contact responders.
• Identify and report safety or security concerns in a timely manner.
• Ensure accuracy and timely submission of required documents.
• Enforce and follow all rules/regulations.
• Other duties to be determined by management.

• Respond to calls of distress, alarms and or emergencies such as fire, injuries or presence of unauthorized individuals by contacting local first responders
• Identify and report any and all concerns (safety, security breaches, unusual circumstances) in a timely manner
• Ensures accuracy and timely submission of required documentation (reports/documents)
• Ensure all rules/regulations are being enforced and followed
• Other duties to be determined by management
