Job summary

• Vital signs are completed and reported.
• Answers telephone and routes calls or messages to appropriate personnel.
• Keeps patients' records current.
• Notifies the nurse of significant changes in patient condition within 5 minutes.
• Transports patient as indicated.
• Assists in radiology and chemotherapy areas as needed.
• Orders radiology and laboratory procedures.
