Job summary

Advocate Health Care's Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove, IL, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the 0.6 Night Shift in the Clinical Resource Unit.

The RN will work within a Level 1 trauma center and an internal float pool across observation, med/tele, critical care stepdown, and behavioral health units, delivering comprehensive patient care using the nursing process.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing.
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
• Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.

Education

Where You Will Work:

Level 1 trauma center

Internal Float Pool that floats throughout Good Samaritan Hospital including:

-observation unit (4-5 ratio)

-5 med/tele units (4-5 ratio)

-Critical care stepdown (3-4 ratio)

-Behavioral health unit

We’re Looking For:

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing

• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices

• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
