Job summary

Advocate Health Care is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the PACU in Downers Grove, IL. The unit operates in a busy PACU within a Level I trauma center with 18 recovery bays and a typical 2:1 patient ratio. Call is required for this role.

The ideal candidate has completed an accredited nursing program, holds an Illinois RN license, and possesses BLS and ACLS certifications. Strong assessment and coordination skills are essential to provide safe, timely care.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing.
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• ACLS certification.

• Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care.

We’re Looking For

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
• ACLS

What You’ll Do

• As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
• Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
