Job summary

The Nursing Assistant (NA) at Good Samaritan Society serves as caregiver to residents during night shifts (10:00pm–6:30am) in Saint James, MN. You will provide resident-centered care, help with daily living activities, record vital signs, and support the nursing team under RN supervision.

We require a CNA certificate with the State Board, high school diploma or GED preferred, and willingness to work every other weekend/holiday.

Qualifications

High school graduate or GED preferred, but not required.
Minimum age of 16.
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or in the process of obtaining certification.
Annual continuing education requirements and credential maintenance.
May be required to be registered with state assistive registry where applicable.
Driving eligibility may be required per facility needs.

Responsibilities

Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under RN supervision.
Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, and mobility.
Record vital signs and communicate changes to the charge nurse.
Assist with meals, water, and nutritional support; participate in wellness activities.
Document resident interactions and participate in infection control practices.
