Job summary

Jovie in the United States is seeking compassionate back-up nannies to join our on-call team. This role offers a flexible schedule that fits around school, family, or another part-time position.

As a Back-up Nanny, you will care for children in-home (no transport required), perform only light cleanup related to activities, and support families with infants through toddlers—highest demand under age 2.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old.
• Experience with children, paid or unpaid; infant experience mandatory.
• Reliable transportation.
• Willing to travel to various homes in the area.
• Available 3+ weekdays for 6–8 hour shifts between 7am and 7pm.
• Be communicative and responsive to the staffing supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Care for children in-home; you will not be required to transport children.
• Minimal household duties beyond simple cleanup of activities or meals.

As a Back-up Nanny, You Will

• Care for children in-home, but you will not be required to transport children
• No household duties other than common sense clean-up of your activities or meals with the child
• Support families who need care for children ranging from infants through toddlers. Highest demand for care for children under the age of 2!
• Engage children by providing safety and leading hands‑on activities based on your observations of the children’s age-appropriate development

We Provide

• Pay: $22 per hour - $26 per hour per hour

About You

• At least 18 years old

• You are available any 3 or more weekdays for 6 - 8 hour shifts between 7 am and 7 pm
