Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • Current ARRT certification.
  • Current Kansas Radiologic Technologist licensure or eligibility.

  • Strong knowledge of MRI safety standards and imaging protocols.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality MRI examinations according to physician orders and established imaging protocols.
  • Prepare and educate patients regarding MRI procedures while addressing questions and concerns.
  • Screen patients for MRI safety and contraindications, including implants and medical devices.
  • Position patients appropriately to obtain optimal diagnostic images.
  • Operate MRI equipment safely and efficiently while maintaining image quality standards.
  • Monitor patients throughout imaging procedures to ensure comfort and safety.
  • Recognize and respond appropriately to emergency situations.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation within the electronic medical record.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
  • Ensure compliance with MRI safety guidelines, infection prevention protocols, and departmental policies.
  • Perform routine equipment quality assurance checks and report maintenance concerns.
  • Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care during every patient interaction.

This role performs advanced MRI examinations, prioritizing patient safety and image quality. The technologist collaborates closely with radiologists, physicians, and nurses to support accurate diagnoses and outstanding patient outcomes. Based in Sabetha, Kansas, the position offers the opportunity to work with state-of-the-art imaging equipment in a supportive, community-focused healthcare environment.
