Job summary

Eurofins USA BioPharma Services in San Diego is seeking a Microbiology Associate to perform hands-on microbiological testing and environmental monitoring in a cGMP-regulated environment. You will prepare samples, manage reagents, and document data with high accuracy, contributing to product safety and quality while supporting investigations and improvements.

The role offers full-time hours, a 8am-4:30pm shift, and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with microbiology laboratory techniques, equipment, and terminology.
• Strong troubleshooting, organization, and time management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform microbiological testing according to established procedures and cGMP requirements.
• Prepare samples, media, reagents, and laboratory materials for routine testing.
• Conduct environmental monitoring activities including water sampling, air, and surface sampling.
• Perform Gram staining, microbial isolation, sterility testing, endotoxin testing, and particulate matter testing.
• Accurately document and report laboratory data in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Maintain laboratory equipment, inventory, and work areas per safety practices.
• Support investigations and continuous improvement initiatives.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in microbiology, Biological Sciences, or related field
