Job summary

Eurofins USA BioPharma Services in San Diego, CA is seeking a Microbiology Associate to perform hands-on testing and environmental monitoring in a cGMP environment. You will prepare media, samples, and reagents, maintain documentation, and support quality investigations.

The role emphasizes accuracy, teamwork, and adherence to safety standards. Requires a Bachelor’s in microbiology with 0–1 years of lab experience and US work authorization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in microbiology, Biological Sciences, or related field (0-1 years preferred).
• Cleanroom, aseptic gowning, or environmental monitoring experience preferred.
• Familiarity with microbiology lab techniques, equipment, and terminology.
• Understanding of cGMP, ISO standards, and safe lab practices.
• Strong troubleshooting, organization, and time management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team.
• US work authorization without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Perform microbiological testing per procedures and cGMP.
• Prepare samples, media, reagents, standards, and lab materials.
• Conduct environmental monitoring including water, air, and surface sampling.
• Perform Gram staining, microbial isolation, sterility and endotoxin testing.
• Analyze and report lab data per regulatory standards.
• Maintain equipment, inventory, and lab areas; follow safety.
• Support investigations and continuous improvement initiatives.
