Description

Our Garden Group, providing sales support and logistics for proprietary and recognized consumer brands, is seeking a full-time Merchandiser in Huntersville, NC. Responsibilities include stocking and arranging product displays, such as grass seed, chemicals, and clay pottery, in home improvement centers like Lowe's, Home Depot, and WalMart.

Measures of Success

• Down stocking and maintaining set integrity for Central Garden products
• Setting and maintaining shelves according to retailer planograms
• Installing and maintaining off-shelf display opportunities
• Weekend consumer interaction during peak season (training provided)

Ideal Candidate Attributes

• Previous merchandising experience preferred
• Strong communication skills for interacting with store management and consumers
• Ability to read labels and re-tag products
• Physical ability to bend, pull, and lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to climb ladders, use a pallet jack, and hand tools
• Valid driver's license, good driving record, reliable transportation, proof of insurance
• Daily access to internet/email
• Smartphone with specified OS and specifications for communication and app use
• Responsible, reliable, and dependable work habits
• Ability to work safely and alertly

Working Conditions

• Retail environment including garden centers and stores
• Monday to Friday, with some weekends (primarily Saturday)
• Physical ability to lift 50 lbs., climb ladders, and use equipment
• Daily travel required within territory using personal vehicle
