Behavioral Health - Central Ohio Behavioral Healthcare in Columbus, OH is seeking staff for Direct Support/Direct Care roles. Responsibilities include aiding clients in treatment goals, monitoring behavior, and providing community-based support services to promote independent living and successful transitions from hospital to community.

The role requires completing a 4-week training/orientation, may involve weekends/holidays, and is located at 3800 Lacon Rd, Hilliard, OH.

Qualifications

Formal education in arithmetic includes addition & subtraction; reading, writing & speaking common English vocabulary.
Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent per Ohio Administrative Code 5123:2-3-01(F)(1)(c).
Or for Veteran Services positions, STNA certification &/or listed on Ohio Nurse Aide Registry.

Responsibilities

Assesses clients' progress toward meeting treatment goals and documents it.
Observes and monitors behavior and symptoms.
Provides mental health services and supportive services for clients in various community settings.
Assists/trains/direct care and supervision to help clients acquire skills for successful community transition.
Communicates progress and needs to supervisor and HBSS staff.
Engages clients, ensures a safe environment, and accompanies them to activities and services.
Performs charting and documentation; attends trainings and meetings.
